There are several ways for young people to get involved and have their say in the running of the Trust:
Intergenerational Workshops - A number of intergenerational workshops have been undertaken with the aim of bridging the gap between different groups in the community. Most recently this has been in the guise of an art workshop with young people from an estate visiting a sheltered scheme to take part in an art class with the residents.
We will support and work in partnership with young people groups in the district with the aim of having a positive impact in the community. This could be in the form of funding through the Community Development Grant or through supporting activities such as fun days and fares.
Young Peoples Forum - After developing links with a number of local groups, we aim to establish a Young People’s Forum to provide young people with an opportunity to become more involved with how the Trust operates in the communities it serves and improve the services they receive.
