At transfer, the Trust made a number of key Promises, to customers to be delivered over the first five years. A significant number of these Promises have been delivered, many ahead of schedule.
Some of the key Promises met include:
· A faster than expected delivery of the £43 million improvement programme, with decency increasing from 51% decency in 2006 to 75% in 2008/09
· Customer satisfaction with the Improvement Programme has increased from 87% in 2007/08 to 98.2% in 2008/09
· The introduction of a low cost gardening service for elderly and vulnerable customers from April 2009
· The introduction of a 24 hour Freephone, and a local charge rate from mobile telephone numbers
· The launch of ‘TrustFix’ – a handy person service for elderly and vulnerable customers
· An estate inspection programme with rigorous inspection standards together with a published programme multi-agency estate walkabouts
· The Tenants Resource Centre established in partnership with customers
· The introduction of Allpay and, following customer feedback, an additional three Direct Debit payment dates
· Completion of all upgrades to aerials in communal areas in preparation for digital switchover
· A new Grounds Maintenance Contract with an increased specification at same cost as the previous
· A Sheltered Housing Forum meets quarterly
· A Leaseholders Forum meeting six monthly, Terms of Reference and a Leaseholder Handbook have been developed
