The National Conversation is the country’s biggest-ever tenants’ consultation event.  The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) has recently finished the first phase of consultation with the return of over 23,000 tenant questionnaires.

The findings so far

The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) sent 80,000 questionnaires to tenants of  registered social landlords across the country, including Cheshire Peaks & Plains Housing Trust. The 23,000 returns exceeded their expectations, and helped them to decide on their priorities for the year ahead.

The questionnaires were just one of the ways for you to have your say. The National Conversation will continue throughout the year, with plenty of informal events across the country.  In the late summer, the TSA will publish a formal consultation detailling their plans, and by Christmas 2009  you should start to see the impacts of their work. Meanwhile, you can visit the National Conversation website to find out more, get involved or have your say.

More about the TSA

The TSA (Tenants Services Authority) is a new government body that monitors the performance of not-for-profit organisations, like the Trust.  It is their role to give you - and tenants across the country - the chance to set the performance standards for all landlords. Once the new standards are agreed, the TSA will use them to monitor how well we perform when we deliver our services to you.  Giving tenants and landlords a say in setting the standards means those standards will reflect your, and our, aspirations. We’ll all feel that we have a stake in them and that we can all work towards an even better Cheshire Peaks & Plains service.

We will keep you informed of the outcomes but if in the meantime you have any questions please contact us directly on Freephone 0800 012 1311 (it may be cheaper to call 0330 440 9707 from a mobile), email trust@cppht.com  or write to Cheshire Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, Ropewalks, Newton Street, Macclesfield, SK11 6QJ
