Here at Cheshire Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, we understand what a busy time this can be as you prepare to move into your new home.  We hope that this information will help your move go as smoothly as possible.

Be prepared - start packing as soon as possible to ensure you can get everything done in time and that you don’t forget anything

Return your keys - please make sure all the keys for the property are returned to us by 12 noon on the date your tenancy ends, otherwise you will be charged for another week

Don’t forget - remember to phone all your suppliers to let them know about the date of your move and your new address

On the day you move don’t forget to record the meter readings for your existing gas/electric/water supply and then when you get to your new home read the meters and let the gas/electric suppliers know . This will ensure that you don’t get charged for any energy used by anyone else.

If you are a current Trust tenant it is worth noting that we operate a re-charging policy, which means that you will be held responsible for any costs associated with clearing your belongings from the property after you’ve gone. If you are moving into or out of one of our properties we would like to wish you every success in your new home.
